2010 Academy Award Nominated Animated Short Films

French Roast (France), in which an uptight businessman in a fancy Parisian café who is about to pay his check finds out that he has lost his wallet. Directed by Fabrice O. Joubert.

Granny O’Grimm’s Sleeping Beauty (Ireland), in which a grandmother loses the plot as she tells her version of "Sleeping Beauty" to her terrified granddaughter. Directed by Nicky Phelan and Darragh O’Connell.

The Lady and the Reaper (La Dama y la Muerte) (Spain), in which a sweet old lady who is waiting for death so she can see her beloved husband once again is invited to enter death's domain—if someone doesn't ruin it for her. Directed by Javier Recio Gracia.

Logorama (Argentina), featuring spectacular car chases, an intense hostage crisis, and wild animals rampaging through the city. Directed by Nicolas Schmerkin.

A Matter of Loaf and Death (UK), Wallace & Gromit start a new bread baking business. Although business is booming, Gromit is concerned by the news that a dozen local bakers have 'disappeared' this year, so he turns sleuth to protect his master and solve the escalating murder mystery. Directed by Nick Park.

The Program also features three bonus shorts: Pixar's Partly Cloudy (USA), The Kinematograph (Poland) and Runaway (Canada).

Please note: This animated program is acceptable for young audiences except for the final film, Logorama, which has a lot of language and some (animated) violence. There is a title card before it that says “The final film in the program contains strong language and violence,” so you do have the option of leaving at that time. All the other films in the animated program are G or PG and perfectly acceptable for all kids.
